THE PLANNING
Jen and Tim started out as a Rustic Elegance rental client, but soon turned into a planning client as well! The main planning of the day was done with RE owner, Kellie. Then as the wedding day approached, the sister duo of Kayla and Anna took over to execute the details!
Since the couple started as rental clients, they were using a lot of our decor. Jen was very detailed about how she wanted the decor set up and the RE team nailed it! Keep an eye out for RE rental items in the upcoming photos. ;)
THE MORNING
When the big day arrived, Minnesota gifted us with beautiful fall weather! The wedding party and the RE team were all on site at Hidden Meadow & Barn bright and early! The ladies were busy getting their hair done by Natalie Jean and their makeup done by Socojo Artistry. This duo left the ladies looking absolutely stunning! Meanwhile, the RE team was busy greeting vendors and setting up the decor we had delivered.
Once everyone was ready, they slipped into their wedding day attire to complete their looks. Jen looked stunning in her A&Be wedding gown! Rachel Lynn Photography then led the couple outside for their first look. The rolling hills and the fall leaves made for the perfect backdrop! They then made their way around the grounds for couples portraits and wedding party photos.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony took place under a willow tree and surrounded by beautiful grasses blowing in the breeze. It was truly the perfect location for this sweet couple to say their I do’s! The entrance was marked by our welcome sign on an easel and our crates. The wood crates were decorated with candles and our box which held their ceremony programs. Our shepherd hooks lined the aisle and E.L. Design filled jars with beautiful flowers to hang from them.
Guests arrived at Hidden Meadows via the Rochester Trolly Company. They were greeted by the beautiful live music from Ovation String Quartet and encouraged to grab a bag of tossing petals. The bar was also open prior to the ceremony, so guests were able to grab a quick drink before making their way to the ceremony site.
Once everyone was seated, we began cueing the wedding party to walk down the aisle. The groom was escorted by his dad, followed by the 2 maids of honor and 2 best men. The ring bearer then made his way down with two big responsibilities - holding the rings and walking the couple’s dog, Aarow! The flower girl then made her entrance, throwing flower petals the whole way down. The kiddos (and the whole wedding party) did a great job! The RE team then closed the ceremony doors before reopening them for a grand reveal of the bride escorted by her father!
The couple shared a sweet ceremony with their friends and family in attendance as their biggest supporters. To make it even more special, the groom’s cousin was the officiant, so he knew the couple well! Jen and Tim did a letter box instead of a unity symbol, shared a long awaited kiss, and they were officially Mr and Mrs! After making their celebratory exit, they greeted guests with plenty of hugs in their receiving line.
THE RECEPTION
As guests made their way through the receiving line they headed to cocktail hour. They were invited to enjoy passed appetizers from River Valley Catering and a hosted bar served by Hidden Meadows. The venue also provided yard games for everyone to enjoy. While parents were enjoying socializing, the kids were invited to hop on the trolly for a fun little ride which they loved!
Oh, and we can’t forget these stunning sunset photos that Rachel Lynn Photography captured of Jen and Tim during cocktail hour!
If you haven’t noticed by now, Hidden Meadow & Barn is a super dreamy venue! The decor the couple rented from Rustic Elegance mixed with the florals and rental decor from E.L. Design created a beautiful reception space. As guests made their way in for dinner, they looked at the seating chart and found their corresponding table marked by our table numbers.
The reception was kicked off by the wedding party and the couple doing a grand entrance! Once the excitement calmed down, there was a welcome speech and a prayer before guests were invited to enjoy their plated meal from River Valley Catering. During dinner there were a lot of speeches from the couple’s friends and family (6 to be exact)! These were entertaining to guests as they ate dinner, and left them with tears of joy and lots of laughter! Everyone was then delighted to see the yummy desserts of cupcakes and donuts from Angel Foods. The RE team refilled desserts as needed throughout the night.
The couple then made their way to the dance floor for their first dance to “Nothing Can Change This Love” by Sam Cooke. The lighting made this moment even more romantic! Following the first dance was the father daughter dance to “My Girl” by Temptations. This was such a sweet moment to witness! Adagio then opened up the dance floor to everyone and kept the party going all night long! This whole day provided so many great moments for Hard Copy Film Co to capture for the couple’s wedding video.
Meanwhile, there were many other activities to keep guests busy throughout the night! The Northerly Photo Booth Camper had arrived and served as a fun activity as well as the couple’s guest book. Hidden Meadows started a bonfire and the RE team set out the s’mores station which consisted of a mix of our decor and a few things from the couple. They also provided a blanket station, as the nights can get chilly when that fall weather rolls in!
Near the end of the night the wedding party did sparkler exit photos with the couple before heading out. These photos turned out so fun!
The Rochester Trolly then made its way back to transport guests safely to their hotel for the night. The RE team ensured that everything was cleaned up and packed away, as the couple booked our clean up package. And that was the end of a great wedding day!
Jen + Tim, you were such a pleasure to work with and we loved every moment of your detailed day! We hope marriage has been absolutely amazing!
