Tell us a bit about you?

I grew up in Northfield, Minnesota and went to college at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. I studied Chemistry and love science! I'm a people-person and during the week I work to help college students studying science find careers and connect with employers. I've always been a helper and team player; I love that I get to help make a special day for our wedding couples.

What makes you smile?

Sitting on my porch in the sun with a cup of coffee.

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

I like to cook, read, spend time with friends, and play pub trivia!

What’s your favorite flower?

I love many kinds of flowers but my favorite is seeing tulips bloom - it's such a beautiful sign that Winter is ending and Spring is starting!

What romantic film do you like best?

My Best Friend's Wedding

What’s a fun fact about you?

I love boy bands! Jonas Brothers & One Direction are my favorites.

What is something people don’t know about you?

I love grocery shopping! Something about making a list and checking everything off is so satisfying.

What is your favorite love song?

Does "Wedding Bell Blues" count? :) I love "My Love" by The Bird and the Bee and of course "Love on Top"!

Ice cream!

Why did you get into wedding planning?

I've worked at events and I've worked planning events and I just love the energy that the day brings! I've also been in weddings and seen how helpful planners and coordinators are for the couple and the family. I want to help people have beautiful wedding days and memories.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

When the guests are seated and waiting for the bridal party to enter. The anticipation and excitement is contagious!

Why do you love Rustic Style Weddings?

I love the memories that come with each of the rustic details and pieces that are a part of rustic style weddings. I think of all the people who have relaxed in a chair or danced in a barn - it makes me smile!

What tips or advice do you have for couples working on planning their wedding day?

Make time to be with each other! You'll be surrounded by so many people who love you and want to celebrate you, but take care to be in the moment together - the day is about you two as a couple!

Best advice for the bride on her big day?

The day will fly by! When you can, take a deep breath and savor the moment.
