THE PLANNING

Emily and Ryan were the sweetest couple to work with and have a lovely family! We did the bride’s twin sister, Allie’s, wedding this past summer, and are doing one of her bridesmaid’s weddings next summer (also named Allie). We are so thankful for their referrals, we absolutely love working with this family and their wonderful friends!

Rustic Elegance owner, Kellie, handled all of the planning with the couple for their wedding at Furber Farm with 175 guests. Since this was a Friday wedding, the couple and their families were able to arrive at the venue on Thursday to drop off and set up decor. We love that Furber offers this for Friday weddings!

THE MORNING

The bride and her bridesmaids arrived at the venue’s bridal suite bright and early to get started with Pure Beauty Hair and Makeup on their glam for the day. Meanwhile, the RE team of Kellie and Mandy put the final touches on the decor and greeted vendors as they arrived. Once the ladies were finished with hair and makeup (& looking beautiful), they slipped into their dresses. Emily looked absolutely stunning in her gown from Flutter Bridal!

Once Emily was dressed, she did a first look with her bridesmaids and a second first look with her father. We love all of their sweet reactions to seeing the beautiful bride! Of course, she also did a first look with her groom. They started back to back and privately read their vows before turning around for their first look. It was such a special moment!

After Emily and Ryan had their sweet moment together, their goldendoodle Rosie joined them for a few portraits. She’s such a cutie and we loved her flower collar! Rosie then left with her caretaker for the day so her mom and dad could get some portraits alone. The wedding party joined soon after for a few fun group photos. Vanessa Lee Photography did an amazing job capturing all of these moments!

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony took place in the front yard at Furber. The couple provided the gold circle arch and Zo, a family friend decorated it with beautiful florals! Once all of the guests were seated, we cued Adagio to start playing the processional music. The groom and his parents, 5 groomsmen, and 6 bridesmaids (which included two maid of honors - the bride’s sisters) made their way down the aisle first. Behind them came Rosie the goldendoodle as the ring bearer, who was walked by the groom’s cousin, and their little flower girl who was escorted by her dad. The flower girl’s dad wore a fanny pack full of flower petals and threw them as he walked down the aisle! Everyone then rose as Emily made her grand entrance with her father. She looked absolutely stunning and we loved the way her veil draped behind her as she walked!

The beautiful ceremony was officiated by a family friend, which made it even sweeter! The couple shared loving words before exchanging rings and sealing everything with a kiss. They made their way down the aisle as the happiest new Mr and Mrs!

THE RECEPTION

When the ceremony wrapped up, guests made their way to the back patio for cocktail hour. Both bars were open, so guests were also welcome to wander inside during this time. Tinucci’s did a fabulous job serving up drinks and keeping the line moving.

When dinner time was approaching, we began inviting guests to take their seats via the assigned seating chart. They were met with a simplistic, yet beautiful reception space. The table decor consisted of a table number, runner, and bud vases. The bridesmaids placed their bouquets into a wooden box at the center of the head table to create a statement piece. We loved this creative idea to repurpose the bouquets!

Once everyone had found their seats, the wedding party made a grand entrance from the top of the stairs. Once the hype calmed down, the couple said a welcome and their officiant said a prayer. Each table was then dismissed one by one to grab food from the delicious buffet that Divine Swine provided! When it came time for the RE team to cue toasts, we made sure to let Tinucci’s know so they could serve the head table champagne to cheers with. Everyone then indulged in delicious desserts from Hy-Vee and Crumbl Cookie!

Guests then turned their attention to the dance floor as the couple did their first dance. We love the touch of elegance that the greenery hanging from the ceiling added to these photos! Adagio then got the party started and kept it going all night (per usual)! All of these fun moments were perfect for Kaitie Co Films to capture for the couple’s wedding video!

The night ended with the couple doing a fun sparkler exit with their wedding party before wrapping up a very successful wedding day!

Emily + Ryan, we had so much fun with you and your families and can’t wait to see you again next year! Cheers to the wonderful memories from this day and for years to come.

Thanks to Vanessa Lee Photography for sharing these photos with us!
