Jen + Bret | Brookview Golden Valley
THE PLANNING
The RE team had a great time planning with Jen and Bret! Rustic Elegance owner, Kellie, did the planning with Jen before their lead planner, Danielle, jumped in to help a week before the big day. We helped work through all the details to make sure their wedding at Brookview Golden Valley would be seamless with their 125 guests.
THE MORNING
It was an overcast morning as the RE team drove to the venue. Upon arrival we met up with the bride and groom to check in on them before sending them off to get ready. Jen spent her morning with Reflect Salon who perfected her hair and makeup. We love how the low bun complimented her dress from Luxe Bridal!
Meanwhile, the RE team was busy handling all of the details back at the venue. Danielle and Anna started by straightening the chairs for the outdoor ceremony (this is seriously much harder than it looks)! They were also busy greeting vendors and setting up various decor pieces.
The couple had the entire top floor of Brookview, which looks out onto a golf course and lawn bowling. The two outdoor patios at the venue were adorned with floral arrangements, adding the perfect pop of color!
When the bride and groom arrived at the venue, RKH Images set up their first look and led them around the venue for a few portraits. The forecast called for a slight chance of rain, so it was overcast the entire day. This was truly a blessing in disguise because it provided the perfect lighting for their photos!
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony site at Brookview is stunning as it overlooks the lush golf course. Bachman’s provided a gold circle arch (our personal favorite) and decorated it with beautiful flowers! Guests started arriving around 4:30pm and took their seats. As they entered, they were met with songs like the classical version of the Indiana Jones Theme Song playing over the sound system from Show Syndicate. This was very on brand with the couple which we loved! It was starting to sprinkle ever so slightly, but we moved forward with the outdoor ceremony. After all, you can’t turn down a good luck rain shower on your wedding day!
Jen made her grand entrance escorted down the aisle by her father. The couple opted to not have a wedding party, so it was just the bride and groom at the altar with the stunning backdrop. It was truly picture perfect! MN Officiants did an amazing job officiating the ceremony and making it unique to the couple. After the ceremony wrapped up, the happy couple made their way down the aisle and guests went straight into cocktail hour with butler passed appetizers from Green Mill and drinks served up by Brookview.
THE RECEPTION
The couple chose 3 different types of decor for the various guest tables. The first consisted of floating candles in 3 different sized vases with greenery. The second option included 3 different styles of bud vases dipped in gold with flowers in them, along with floating candles in vases. The last option was a bouquet of flowers in vases that guests could take home with them at the end of the night! All of the vases and florals were provided by Bachman’s. The bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table with that golden floral arch from the ceremony as their backdrop!
Guests found their seats by using the seating chart that the couple provided. Once everyone was seated, Jen and Bret did their grand entrance before inviting their guests to enjoy the delicious buffet dinner from Green Mill! The caterer also provided yummy desserts that consisted of a variety of cupcakes. They were a huge hit!
Once dinner wrapped up, the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance followed by the parent dances. All of these were so special to watch and definitely brought happy tears to everyone! Moments like these were perfect for Show Syndicate to capture for the couple’s wedding video.
Show Syndicate then opened up the dance floor to everybody and kept the party going all night long! Guests were also encouraged to visit the guest card table where they could take photos with the polaroid camera and add them to the guestbook. This is also where the card box was located. This was a black acrylic box that the couple had customized with their names on it (and it had a lock which is always a plus)! The night wrapped up with a late night snack of pizza and plenty of dancing!
Jen + Bret, thank you for including Rustic Elegance on your big day, it was truly a pleasure to work with you! We hope married life has been nothing short of amazing!
