THE PLANNING

Rustic Elegance owner, Kellie, had so much fun planning with Sarah and Justin! With our experience at Round Barn Farm, coordinating their wedding for their 170 guests went seamlessly! Plus, the team at Round Barn Farm is so nice and accommodating, they make it easy to work at this beautiful barn venue!

THE MORNING

When we arrived at Round Barn Farm the morning of the wedding, there was a frosty layer of snow covering the grass. It added the perfect magical touch and melted soon after for the perfect fall wedding the couple had been dreaming of! The ladies were on site bright and early to get ready with Rue 48 Salon who perfected everyone’s glam. The guys were also at the venue getting ready (and playing some foosball)! Meanwhile, the RE team of Kellie and Rachel were busy greeting vendors and setting up decor.

The bride and groom sat down separately and read letters that they had written for each other. We love these sweet, gentle moments before the busy day kicks in!

Sarah then slipped into her beautiful dress from Vow’d Minneapolis, and Matthew Eberle Photography led the couple outside for their first look. The reactions that he captured truly speak a thousand words!

The couple and their wedding party then took a few photos in front of the barn before the RE team pulled everyone aside for a quick day of rehearsal.

THE CEREMONY

The outdoor ceremony site was looking beautiful with the venue’s arch decorated by KMB Floral. The florist also added flowers on the end of every row of chairs to tie the elegance throughout the entire scene! With the couple’s friend playing live guitar music, it felt like a moment out of a fairytale!

The wedding party was thankful that we did a day of rehearsal, as there were 9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, 3 ushers, and a ring bearer to get down the aisle (in addition to the couple and their parents)! The groom was escorted in by his mother, followed by the large wedding party. The groom’s dad accompanied the ring bearer who threw flower petals. This was so cute! Everyone then stood as the beautiful bride made her grand entrance, escorted by her father and brother.

This couple’s wedding ceremony was filled with so many sweet touches. From the personally written vows to the mimosa unity symbol to honor the bride’s mom, there was truthfully not a dry eye to be found. To seal all of the sweet words and promises, the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife and danced off to get the party started! As everyone made their way to cocktail hour, the RE team began cleaning up the ceremony site and repurposing the decor in the reception space.

THE RECEPTION

As guests entered the barn for the reception, they grabbed a mimosa off of the wall that the bartenders set up in honor of the bride’s mom. There was also memorial decor on the venue’s hutch and a gifts and cards station in the venue’s carriage. The tables in the barn were decorated with greenery that was placed by KMB Floral along with a few lanterns for romantic lighting.

Once everyone was seated, the wedding party did a grand entrance that was so entertaining to watch! It had everyone cheering and ready for the festivities ahead. But first everyone was delighted to enjoy the delicious buffet dinner provided by A’BriTin! Oh, and then cupcakes and donuts from Sweet Assurance and Hanisch Bakery! There was also a fun Las Vegas themed cake for the couple to cut.

After everyone was finished with all the yummy food, it was time for the first dances! These took place on the lower level of the barn and were all so sweet to watch and the location made for the perfect addition to their wedding video that By Design Films created.

Matthew Eberle Photography then took the couple outside for a few fun evening photos before letting them get back to the party!

Your Dads Band kept the party going all night, including the dollar dance that the couple opted to do! Guests stayed busy with other various activities including yard games, a bonfire with a s’mores station, and The Mobile Lens Company’s photo booth camper!

The night wrapped up with a fun sparkler exit that Matthew Eberle Photography captured. It was a great day to celebrate this lovely couple! Everyone then hopped onto the transportation provided by Broz Bar and Grill for a safe ride back to their hotel for the night.

Sarah + Justin, we hope that marriage has been amazing! We are so honored that you chose to have Rustic Elegance coordinate your wedding day.

Big thank you to Matthew Eberle Photography for sharing these awesome photos with us!
