Tori and Jacob booked us as their Minnesota wedding coordinators to ensure their day felt as perfect as it looked. All of our couples have access to Rustic Elegance Owner, Kellie, to plan all of the details leading up to the big day.
As the wedding day neared, the couple and the bride’s mom hopped on a Zoom call with Kellie and their lead coordinator, Danielle. We use this time to connect the couple with their experienced coordinator and wrap up any loose ends.
Danielle’s favorite thing is organization, so she was PUMPED to bring Tori and Jacob’s JX Venue Wedding together for them and their 175 guests!
The Morning
When the big morning arrived, the wedding party gathered at the iconic Hotel Crosby to get ready. The excitement was high as Amy Rachel Makeup and Glamour Beauty perfected the ladies glam!
Tori’s sleek low bun was perfectly paired with her strapless gown from Beloved Bridal. The bow on the back of the dress was such a fun touch. Her bridesmaids wore black dresses in a variety of styles, which created a perfectly timeless look!
The RE team of Danielle and Rachel made sure to swoop in and pin on boutonnieres for the groom and the couple’s fathers. As grandpas and grandmas arrived, we delivered their corresponding wrist corsages.
Once the wedding party was finished with lunch and settled in at the venue, Afton Joy Photo pulled the couple aside for their first look. The JX Venue has the most iconic stairway location for first looks. With whimsical white floral arrangements from Studio Louise Flowers lining the stairway, it made for stunning photos!
The couple then made their way outside to greet a loved one who stopped by with their pups. We are HUGE animal lovers, so we absolutely love helping coordinate photos for our couples and their furbabies. Even if they can’t be included in the full wedding day!
After saying a quick goodbye to their dogs, the couple hopped onto the Stillwater Trolley with their wedding party. They were en route to those historic streets of Downtown along the St. Croix River we talked about earlier!
Upon returning to the venue, the wedding party was ready for their day-of rehearsal! The RE team led them and ensured everyone was feeling confident with where to stand and the appropriate walking pace (aka, don’t rush!).
The Ceremony
The wedding party hid away as guests arrived for the ceremony. As everyone entered, they were serenaded by 2 live musicians playing the violin and cello. We absolutely love the elevated ambiance that is created when live musicians are playing!
The indoor ceremony space that JX Venue offers for weddings is so beautiful. Historic brick walls, windows lining the backdrop for natural light, a chandelier hanging above the couple… It's so timeless!
Once all of the guests were seated, we began cuing the wedding party down the aisle. Jacob entered with his parents, followed by the bride’s mom and brother. The 7 bridesmaids/groomsmen were then sent in as pairs.
Tori then made her grand entrance with her father to “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. She looked absolutely stunning with her cathedral veil trailing behind!
The ceremony was filled with so many sweet words. After the special readings and the couple’s personally written vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
These words were sealed with 2 “I Dos” and a kiss before the couple made their way down the aisle as Mr and Mrs!
Guests were then excused to cocktail hour via the receiving line. This ensured the couple was able to hug and say hello to each and every one of their 175 guests!
Tori, Jacob, and their wedding party then snuck off to the bridal suite for a private toast. The RE team ensured that the couple was met with their drinks of choice: an Old Fashioned for the groom and an Espresso Martini for the bride!
The Reception
The RE team worked with the venue staff to flip the ceremony space for the reception. The arch from the ceremony was repurposed behind the couple for dinner. We love how this marks the head table in true VIP fashion!
As guests were enjoying a hosted bar (with cute signature drinks named after the couple’s pups!) and passed appetizers, the RE team was busy touching up the reception decor. This included lighting candles that were safely placed in hurricanes.
Guests were then invited to take their seats. Once everyone was settled. We sent the wedding party in for their grand entrance. From riding on each other’s shoulders to hoots and hollers, this crew was ready to get the party started!
Jacob said a quick thank you speech before inviting guests to enjoy the delicious plated meal from Bella Vida Catering.
Throughout dinner, there were speeches from the father of the bride, the maid of honor, and best man. Each speech left guests with tear-filled eyes from sweet (and funny) stories that were shared!
Dorothy Ann Bakery served up a fabulous dessert of mini cupcakes and donuts to satisfy any sweet tooth. There was also a small cake for the couple to cut as a photo op (but we heard it was delicious, too)! The cake was adorned with a few flowers and the parent’s cake topper. They even cut it with the parent’s wedding knife. We love little unique traditions like this!
Tori and Jacob had let us know that they were having a choreographed first dance, which always gets us excited! They mesmerized all of their guests with how beautifully they moved together!
Then it was time for the traditional parent dances. These always bring a tear to our eye, but Tori and Jacob’s family brought this to the next level. Near the end of Jacob’s first dance with his mom, they invited Tori to join. There’s something so special about seeing families join together!
Okay–blink away those watery eyes. It’s time to party! Adagio DJay Entertainment got the dance floor packed within moments. It became a sea of people with foam glow sticks in the air. The vibes were high!
While everyone was partying, Tori snuck away for a quick dress change (including sparkly Converse). She was ready to join the party!
As the night progressed, Bella Vida Catering provided late night pizza and guests headed off to Country Inn & Suites to rest up after a long day of celebrations.
The RE team made sure everything got organized and packed away per our Clean Up Package. The couple and their loved ones were able to party until the end of the night without a care in the world (as it should be)!
