Romantic Fall Wedding at a Pepin WI Wedding Venue | Lauryn + Sean
As a Pepin WI wedding venue, Woods and Co sets the stage for unforgettable celebrations, and Lauryn and Sean’s wedding day was one we’ll be dreaming about for a long time! Rustic Elegance Owner Kellie handled all of the pre-wedding planning with the bride and both of the couple’s moms via Zoom.
2 weeks prior to the wedding day, the couple met their Lead Coordinator from our expert team, Lynse. As their designated Coordinator, Lynse was so excited to bring this day to life for the couple and their 200 guests!
THE MORNING
The day kicked off with the bridesmaids getting ready in the stunning Primrose Suite while the groomsmen hung out in the modern Cedar Lounge. The ladies were joined by Hair by BK and Makeup by Sammi B, who worked as a team to pull off perfect glam.
Our team spent the morning finalizing details and greeting vendors before popping into the Cedar Lounge to help pin on the guys’ boutonnieres. Meanwhile, Lauryn slipped into her beautiful strapless bridal gown from Finery Bridal.
As soon as she finished getting dressed, she made her way out into the Primrose Suite for a first look with her bridesmaids. We love how their reactions went from pure love to hyping up their bestie!
Lauryn then headed out to the front of the venue where her dad was waiting for a grand reveal of his daughter. His reaction says it all!
And last (but certainly not least!!) Lauryn strolled down the landscaped path for a long awaited first look with her groom. These two were pure smiles the second they laid eyes on each other!
Meraki Co Photography and Harvest Films then became a powerhouse duo, capturing the couple around the venue before our team pulled the wedding party aside for a quick day-of ceremony rehearsal.
We then made sure that the wedding party hid away before guests began to arrive.
THE CEREMONY
The weather had been overcast leading up to the ceremony, but everyone was hopeful the rain would hold off. Guests grabbed a drink from the bar and made their way to the Ceremony Bluff Wall, settling in as anticipation built.
Soon after, our team began cueing the wedding party down the aisle, including an adorable ring bearer and flower girl. The ushers closed the doors before reopening them for the bride’s grand entrance with her father. We always love when we can incorporate this special detail into a ceremony!
The bride’s father also served as their officiant, joining the couple at the altar. The ceremony included several special readings, including one from the bride’s Grandma Barb.
As the ceremony went on, the weather began to shift. The couple started by holding a white umbrella before the downpour called for moving the outdoor ceremony to the venue’s Indoor Ceremony Room. Situations like these are why we always prepare a thoughtful rain plan. Thankfully, this Pepin, WI wedding venue creates a seamless experience with a second ceremony site all set up inside!
Once guests were re-seated inside, the wedding party re-entered, followed by the couple making their entrance together. While we always hope for clear skies, sometimes the unexpected adds its own kind of magic. We love to say rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck. And in moments like this, it truly brings everyone closer as they rally together to celebrate the couple’s love, no matter the circumstances!
THE RECEPTION
The reception unfolded in Woods & Co’s striking Glass House Reception Room. A Family Affair had set up the decor earlier that morning, which included an abundance of candles romantically lighting up the space. The greenery that the couple provided was a perfectly classic detail for the tablescapes!
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the wedding party made their way outside for group portraits and sunset photos. We were so pleased to see that the rain had let up and the sun began shining through. It created the most dreamy lighting!
Once everyone had taken their seats in the reception space, we sent the wedding party in for the grand entrance. They all had so much fun with their personalized entrances!
The couple kicked off the evening with a quick welcome speech, followed with a prayer by the bride’s Uncle Matt. Meatheads Catering then welcomed everyone to enjoy a delicious buffet dinner!
After a wonderful meal and 5 sweet speeches, it was time for dessert. The couple did a cake cutting for a few quick photos, then everyone eagerly joined the line to enjoy a sundae buffet from Meatheads Catering!
As dusk fell, the patio came alive with a crackling fireplace, twinkle lights, and the glow of the moon over the Bluff. Inside the reception space, the flickering candles and elegant chandeliers lit up the room for the couple’s romantic first dance, followed by the traditional parent dances.
From there, the celebration turned into a high-energy dance party powered by Instant Request! The dance floor was full for the remainder of the night, until Carlson Lines provided safe shuttle rides to the guests’ hotels.
Lauryn + Sean, you and your families were a pleasure to work with. We hope that married life has been filled with as much spontaneity, love, and support as this day was!
Huge thanks to Meraki Co Photography for sharing these amazing photos with us!
