Creekside Farm Wedding | Matteah + Alex

Creekside Farm wedding

As wedding coordinators in MN who specialize in barn weddings, we always get a little extra excited when couples bring us back to venues we love. So when Matteah and Alex told us they were planning a Creekside Farm wedding, we couldn’t wait to get started!

Creekside Farm is one of our all-time favorites (it even made our list of the best Minnesota barn wedding venues!), so we were thrilled to help them celebrate there with 130 of their closest family and friends.

The Morning

When the wedding day arrived, Matteah and her bridesmaids were in the bridal suite bright and early. The Hair by Heidi team joined them to perfect their hair and makeup while bringing all the morning celebration vibes!

Matteah stepped aside with her mother to slip into her dress from Bella Rose Bridal. We’re still not over these dreamy bridal portraits in Creekside’s bridal suite! Vick Photography truly captured the elegance and serenity of the moment.

Meanwhile, the RE team checked in with the guys and helped pin on their boutonnieres from Studio B Floral

The bride shared a sweet first look with her bridesmaids before making her way to the front of the barn for a heartfelt first look with her father. We love seeing our brides get all the hype and love from their favorite people!

Vick Photography then set the couple up for an enchanted first look under the willow tree on Creekside’s property. They took this intimate moment to read the special letters they had written to one another.

Matteah and Alex then made their way back to the barn for photos with their wedding party. We love the rustic yet simple backdrop the barn provides!

Before guests arrived, the RE team pulled the wedding party aside for a quick day-of rehearsal. We also took this opportunity to chat with the ushers about their duties. This is just one of the many reasons why we love doing day-of rehearsals!

The Ceremony

As guests arrived, they made their way to Creekside Farm’s iconic outdoor ceremony site, nestled between the willow trees near the babbling brook. The greeters handed out programs as everyone found their seats.

Matteah and Alex rented our ceremony doors, which we delivered and set up earlier that morning to help create the perfect grand entrance. The arch, provided by the venue, was beautifully decorated with flowers by Studio B Floral. She also added floral accents to a few chairs in the front row as a heartfelt memorial.

When it was time for the ceremony to begin, the RE team cued the processional. The couple’s officiant from Living Waters Fellowship led the way, followed by the bride’s mom and grandma. Alex entered with his mom and dad, with his stepdad walking behind them.

Each side of the wedding party had four attendants, who made their way down the aisle in pairs. Then came the ring bearer with a pillow and the flower girl tossing petals.

Once everyone was in place, the ushers gently closed the ceremony doors to set the stage for Matteah’s grand entrance with her father. The song she walked into was a surprise for the groom, which made the moment even more special!

After a few sweet words and a reading from one of their loved ones, Emily, the couple recessed out to “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley. This song choice felt so true to the couple, it brought a smile to everyone’s face!

The RE team then swooped in to help with ceremony clean up and repurposed the bridesmaid bouquets around the venue.

The Reception

While guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio, the couple snuck away with Vick Photography for a few portraits as newlyweds. Creekside Farm truly offers some of the most stunning outdoor spots. It was perfect for Alma Films to get clips for the couple’s wedding video as well!

Before the big day, we made sure to note the couple’s favorite drinks so we could have them ready as soon as they returned from photos. After all, you deserve a celebratory sip after officially tying the knot!

Meanwhile, the RE team was making sure every last detail was ready in the reception area. Earlier that morning, we had helped set out the couple’s decor, which included wooden table numbers, faux garland, lanterns, and candles.

We’ve Got It Covered provided table runners for the guest tables and a linen for the head table. Studio B Floral added florals and draping greenery to the head table, creating the perfect touch of natural elegance.

Once everything was in place, we invited guests to head into the barn for dinner. As they entered, they were encouraged to sign the couple’s wooden sign guest book and highlight their favorite Bible verse. Guests then found their seats, guided by the place cards our team had set out.

The wedding party made a grand entrance into the reception, followed by the bride and groom. This moment is always such a joy for our team—so much energy and love pouring in for the newlyweds!

A’BriTin began serving a delicious plated salad and dinner, and as always, they did not disappoint!

Once the couple finished eating, we pulled them and their photographer aside for the cake cutting. Instead of a traditional cake, they opted for a tiered cheesecake from Muddy Paws Cheesecake, and it looked absolutely delicious!

For the rest of the sweets, A’BriTin provided dessert shooters, which we displayed on our Woodsy Dessert Stand Collection. It was the perfect touch for a Creekside Farm wedding!

The RE team then helped move the head table and decor to clear space for the dance floor. With the barn doors open, the couple shared their first dance to “La Valse de L’Amour” by Patrick Doyle, and the vibe was absolutely magical.

Next came the traditional parent dances—with a twist! Matteah and her father surprised everyone with a choreographed duel of swords to “Duel of the Fates” by John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra (yes, the one from Star Wars). It was such a fun and unforgettable moment for everyone!

Thanks to Adagio, the night ended with a packed dance floor and incredible energy! A’BriTin also returned later in the evening with a late night popcorn bar, which was a total hit with guests.

While Matteah and Alex danced the night away with their loved ones, our team quietly packed up the couple’s decor and loaded it into their cars as part of our Clean Up Package.

Matteah and Alex, you two were such a joy to plan with. Your wedding day was truly magical, and we hope married life has been nothing short of a fairytale!
