Rolling Ridge Wedding | Grace + Andrew

Rolling Ridge wedding

Grace and Andrew came to us with one goal: to have an epic Rolling Ridge wedding. As Minnesota wedding coordinators, we were stoked to help bring their vision to life for a celebration with 150 of their favorite people!

Throughout the planning process, the couple worked closely with Lead Planner and Rustic Elegance owner, Kellie. We kicked things off with an initial meeting to walk through our Aisle Planner program, followed by two planning meetings, and finally a final check-in 1 week out.

Everyone was feeling prepared, organized, and so ready to celebrate!

THE MORNING

The ladies arrived bright and early to start getting ready for the big day. The amazing hair and makeup team from Palindrome joined them in the rustic-yet-modern, bridal suite on-site.

As everyone was wrapping up, the RE team popped into the groom’s suite to pin on boutonnieres. Meanwhile, Grace slipped into her stunning gown from A&Be Bridal. We love how she had all her girls helping with these final details. Girlhood at its finest!

Emily Theisen Photography then set the couple up for their first look. Grace’s girls couldn’t help but sneak a peek at this special moment!

The couple then popped around the property for a few portraits before being joined by their wedding party for group photos. The photo of Andrew (being the gentleman he is) holding umbrellas for the bridesmaids is one of our favorites!

The RE team then pulled the group aside for a quick day-of rehearsal. We love doing this no matter what, but it was especially important today as we had to reroute to use our backup rain plan! This involved moving the ceremony from outside into the barn.

The RE team also made sure to move the head table so that a few rows of chairs could be set up at the front for immediate family members.

THE CEREMONY

The rustic barn set the perfect scene for the ceremony! Rolling Ridge provided the arch and draping, which the couple’s florist (a family friend) adorned with beautiful florals.

As guests arrived, the couple’s ushers handed out programs and welcomed everyone. Soon after, the instrumental version of “Speechless” by Dan and Shay began playing. This was the cue to send the wedding party down the aisle!

Andrew walked the bride’s mom in, then went back to escort his parents. He was followed by four attendants on each side, a flower boy, and a ring bearer.

As the music faded into the instrumental version of “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift, guests rose for Grace’s grand entrance. She looked absolutely stunning!

The ceremony was filled with so many meaningful moments. From readings to a live song during their unity tree planting, every detail was full of intention!

After sharing their first kiss as husband and wife and recessing down the aisle, the couple and their wedding party headed to the speakeasy under the barn. It was time to kick off the celebrations!

THE RECEPTION

It was a bit rainy all day, but that didn’t stop guests from popping outside to enjoy the outdoor activities whenever the showers let up! The couple provided cornhole and Jenga and rented ladder ball from our inventory.

We love the layout of Rolling Ridge weddings! The separate cocktail hour area has its own bar, so guests can mingle out on the patio while vendors finish the reception setup inside the barn.

While everyone was outside, the RE team helped get the head table back in place and set up the decor. Rolling Ridge provided a lot of the details (including table numbers and battery candles) which made setup and teardown super seamless.

The venue also added string lights and draping over the dinner space in the barn, which brought an extra layer of rustic elegance!

We then invited guests inside to find their assigned seats. Once everyone was settled, Grace and Andrew made their grand entrance as newlyweds! The groom gave a quick thank you speech, and then Custom Catering by Short Stop followed with a delicious plated dinner.

As guests enjoyed their meal, we heard a few heartfelt toasts from the best men, the maid of honor, and the father of the bride. Truly the best form of dinner entertainment!

The couple then made their way to the dessert table to cut their cake. The groom’s mom provided the cake cutting knife. Such a special touch!

Guests then dove into the display of mini cupcakes from Cold Spring Bakery. Our Woodsy Dessert Collection was the perfect match for Rolling Ridge’s vibe!

The RE team then helped move the head table and decor again to make room for dancing. Meanwhile, Emily Theisen Photography pulled the couple outside for a few portraits as the rain finally let up.

When they returned, Grace and Andrew shared their first dance to “Lover” by Taylor Swift, followed by the traditional parent dances. They were all so sweet!

Midwest Sound then got the party started with an epic playlist. The dance floor was packed all night long!

Later in the evening, Custom Catering by Short Stop provided a late night snack of woodfired pizzas (YUM).

As everyone danced the night away, our team quietly cleaned up and packed everything into its designated locations. Our clean-up package is always a hit when the night winds down. You won’t regret adding it on!

Grace + Andrew, you two were a delight to work with! We hope that married life has been nothing short of amazing.
